YouTube adds the pay-per-view function in live streaming platform

YouTube proceeds to significant changes in the new live streaming platform for enabling producers to provide advertisements during view or charge for it.

With this change, which was tested with selected publishers, the company hopes to increase the popularity of YouTube Live platform attracting more issuers from the world of sports and entertainment. At present, however, the choice of billing streams is limited to Canada, Japan, France, USA and England.

Besides the profit potential, however, YouTube offers producers some new tools such as real-time analytics, a new view and a free preview that allows Wirecast professional view live events directly to YouTube Live from your desktop.

So far YouTube Live offers a somewhat limited form although there is great demand by many producers. The company promises that the platform will gradually become available to more and more publishers asking for patience from us.
